Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a distinctive image of a flying eagle, which was a symbol of the city of Tanagra and represented the city's connection to the god Apollo. The eagle is depicted with outstretched wings and a sharp beak, giving it a powerful and majestic appearance. This design was unique to Tanagra and set its coins apart from those of other city-states in ancient Greece.
