Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the coin features a portrait of a satyr, a mythical creature with human-like upper body and goat-like lower body, which was a common motif in ancient Greek art. The satyr is depicted with a wreath of vines and grapes on its head, signifying the rich agricultural and viticultural traditions of the ancient Carian city that minted the coin.
