Interesting fact
The Corinthian Stater was one of the first coins to feature a depiction of a mythological creature, specifically the Pegasus, on its obverse (front side). The Pegasus was a symbol of the city of Corinth and was believed to represent the speed and strength of the city's warriors. This coin was widely used in trade and commerce throughout the ancient Greek world and is considered a rare and valuable collector's item today.
