Interesting fact
The Stater coin from Issos (Cilicia) was minted during the reign of King Artaxerxes III, who ruled the Achaemenid Empire from 390 BC to 385 BC. This coin features an image of the king on one side and an inscription in ancient Aramaic on the other. The coin was used as a form of currency throughout the empire, which at that time stretched from modern-day Egypt to India. Despite being over 2,300 years old, many of these coins have been well-preserved and are highly sought after by collectors today.
