Interesting fact
The obverse (front) side of the Orchomenos Stater features a unique mythological scene, depicting the nymph Amalthea, who was believed to have raised the infant Zeus, feeding the god a goat. This scene is not commonly found on ancient Greek coins, making it a distinctive feature of this particular coin.
