Interesting fact

The Ambracia Stater was minted during the reign of King Pyrrhus III, who was known for his military campaigns against the Roman Republic. Despite being made of silver, the coin was not as valuable as other coins of its time, as the silver content was only about 50%. This coin was primarily used for local trade and commerce within the kingdom of Ambracia.
