Interesting fact
The Corinthian Stater was widely used in ancient Greece and was considered a standard unit of exchange. It was used to pay soldiers, settle debts, and facilitate trade. Its design featured the profile of the Greek goddess Athena on one side and a Pegasus (a mythical winged horse) on the other. The coin's use of a Pegasus as its symbol may have been a nod to Corinth's reputation as a center of horse breeding and trade.
