Interesting fact

The Corinthian Stater was widely used in trade and commerce across the ancient Greek world, and its design was influential in the development of other Greek coins. Its obverse features a Pegasus, a mythical winged horse, which became a symbol of Corinth and was used on many of its coins. The reverse depicts a helmeted head of Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, who was revered by the Corinthians. The coin's design and symbolism reflect the city-state's cultural and economic significance during the 4th century BC.
