Interesting fact
The Byzantion Stater was minted during the reign of Emperor Hadrian (117-138 AD), and it features an image of the goddess Athena on the obverse (front) side, while the reverse (back) side depicts a victorious charioteer driving a quadriga (a chariot pulled by four horses). This coin was an important medium of exchange during its time and was used for trade and commerce throughout the Roman Empire.
