Interesting fact
The Ephesos Stater was minted during the reign of King Mithridates VI of Pontus, who ruled from 120 BC to 63 BC. The coin features an image of the king's father, Ariobarzanes, on one side and a representation of the goddess Artemis on the other. The coin was used as a means of payment and trade throughout the ancient Greek world and is considered a rare and valuable collector's item today.
