There are varieties in the engraving of the bust. Many contemporary imitations of this coinage exist from barbarian mints in Frisia (see link below).

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Solidus - Louis I (bust facing right) coin is that it was minted during the reign of Louis the Pious, who was the son of Charlemagne and succeeded him as the King of the Franks. This coin was part of a new currency system introduced by Louis the Pious to replace the old system that had been in place since the time of Charlemagne. The Solidus was a gold coin that was divided into 240 Deniers, and it became the standard currency of the Carolingian Empire.
