Queen Boudicca and the last Icenian coinage
There is die-set and hoard evidence to suggest a great quantity of coinage struck from before the Claudian invasion of 43AD and for some time into the Boudiccan Rebellion, exact dates uncertain.
Interesting fact
The Icenian O coin features a unique design of a moustached man, believed to represent a Celtic deity, making it a distinctive and interesting artifact from ancient Britain.
