Comment

There has been much controversy on dating Populonian coins, and as such, the date ranges my vary per source.

The Tinia series was struck using Populonia's fourth silver standard, which is equal to the third silver standard except with the weights of all denomination being halved.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Silver 5 Asses coin from Populonia (Etruria) is that it features a unique reverse design, depicting a stylized representation of the Etruscan goddess Tinia, after whom the series is named. The image of Tinia is surrounded by a wreath, adding to the coin's distinctiveness and cultural significance.
