BMC Greek Vol.24 Pl.VI.3Interesting fact
The Siglos coin is one of the oldest known coins from Cyprus, and it features an uncertain king on one side and a laurel wreath on the other. Despite its age, the coin is remarkably well-preserved, with many examples found in excellent condition. This has led some numismatists to speculate that the coin may have been used for ceremonial purposes, rather than for everyday transactions.
