Comment
On the coin in the photo, the portrait is very large, occupying most of the blank. Wrong legend with VALLVS instead of GALLVS and VIN instead of VIM on reverse. This type of error is becoming increasingly frequent. Aleksandar KOTSCHEV (Katalog Kolonial metallgeld aus Viminacium, Provincia Moesia Superior, 2008) has counted thirty sesterces from the year XIII with fifteen right corners for all varieties, with an average weight of 10.65 g. The theoretical weight of sesterces (18.04 g) has fallen drastically since the year VIII, losing an average of one gram per year.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a rare representation of the Roman goddess Salus, who is depicted standing and holding a patera, a libation dish, in her right hand and a snake in her left hand. This image of Salus is unique to this particular coin and is not found on any other known Roman coins.
