The Sestertius - Galba coin was minted during the reign of Emperor Galba, who ruled the Roman Empire from 68 to 69 AD. The coin's design features the goddess Honos (Honor) and the goddess Virtus (Virtue) on the obverse, and a shield with the initials S C (Senatus Consulto) on the reverse. The coin was made of bronze and weighed 29 grams. Interestingly, the Sestertius - Galba coin was minted during a time of great turmoil in the Roman Empire. Emperor Galba was known for his strict fiscal policies and his efforts to restore the empire's finances, which had been depleted by his predecessor, Nero. Despite his efforts, Galba's reign was cut short when he was assassinated by his own soldiers in 69 AD. The coin serves as a reminder of this tumultuous period in Roman history.
