Interesting fact
The Sestertius coin features an image of Augustus, the first Roman Emperor, on one side, and a depiction of Scipio Africanus and Gaius Cornelius Scipio on the other side. Scipio Africanus was a famous Roman general who defeated Hannibal in the Second Punic War, while Gaius Cornelius Scipio was his adopted son and a prominent military leader in his own right. The inclusion of both Scipio Africanus and Gaius Cornelius Scipio on the coin suggests that the coin was issued to commemorate their military achievements and to promote the image of Augustus as a strong and effective leader.
