Interesting fact
The Semis coin was used as a form of payment for Roman soldiers during the Samnite Wars, which took place from 294 BC to 291 BC. The coin's design featured the image of a bull, which was a symbol of strength and power in ancient Roman culture. The Semis coin was also used as a means of exchange for goods and services among the Roman people, and its value was equivalent to half of a Roman pound, or 328 grams.
