Interesting fact
The "Sun" Rouble was the first coin to feature the image of a Russian ruler, Peter the Great, on its obverse side. This was a departure from the traditional design of Russian coins, which had previously featured the Russian coat of arms. The inclusion of Peter's image was a nod to his legacy as the founder of the Russian Empire and his efforts to modernize the country.
