Comment
QuartingEquivalent to a quarter-denar, the quarting was a new denomination introduced by Sigismund and was a very crudely made and low valued coin.
Interesting fact
The Quarting coin was used as a means of payment in Hungary during the reign of King Sigismund (1430-1437). It was made of silver and weighed 0.12 grams, which was a significant amount for a coin at that time. Despite its small size, the Quarting coin played an important role in the economy of Hungary during the 15th century.
