The Quadrans coin was used during the Roman Empire and had a unique design. On one side, it featured the image of a pontiff, or a high-ranking religious official, which is where the coin got its name "Quadrans" from, as it was equivalent to a quarter of a denarius, a common Roman coin. The other side of the coin featured the image of an eagle, which was a symbol of power and authority in ancient Rome. This coin was used for everyday transactions and was a common sight in the Roman Empire during its time.
