Reverse

Wolf and wild boar standing face to face around a globule, beaded circle and peripheral beading.

Comment

On Class II specimens, the pointed annulet on the reverse of Class I turns into a globule. There is no longer a legend on the obverse, but the two animals rest on a central globule, with a pointed ringlet between the heads.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design element known as "confronted animals," where two animals are depicted facing each other on opposite sides of the coin. This design was a common feature of ancient Celtic coins and is considered a distinctive characteristic of the Suessiones tribe.
