Comment
Type described by Rovera; not referenced in books prior to 2018.Two variants are currently identified at the level of the punctuation of the obverse:
1) composed of two overlapping crescents (issue from Saint-Genix-sur-Guier)
2) composed of two superimposed rings
The specimens minted in Saint Genix seem the most common for this type.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Amadeus VI, who was also known as Amadeus the Green, due to his love for the color green and his habit of wearing green clothing and accessories.
