Particularly rare coin, classified R5 by Benabiba and Ortiz (n° L88), which was known only from a single other specimen published in the Bulletin de la Société Française de Numismatique in January 2004.

One interesting fact about the Obol coin is that it was used as a form of currency in the medieval period, specifically in the 14th century, and was issued by the Bishopric and City of Cahors in the French States.
