Comment
This coin is very easily confused with the miliaresion struck under Leo III and Constantine V (BCV 1512). The main difference is the form of the cross potent, which is tall and narrow on coins of Leo III while those of Leo IV has a longer horizontal bar giving it a square appearance.Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Miliaresion coin is that it was used as a means of exchange across different cultures and regions, reflecting the extensive trade networks of the Byzantine Empire during its time.
