This coin is called both "marchesano" and "marchesino."
There is much confusion about the attribution of this type to either Niccolo II and Niccolo III. CNI attributes this marchesino, on which the gothic A has thick, blocky legs with a flat base to Niccolo II. Other sources use the direction of the crossbar of the N (lower left to upper right) to attribute yhis one to Noiccolo II.
