Interesting fact

The Litra coin from Rhegion (Bruttium) was used as a form of currency in ancient Greece and was equivalent to one-third of a drachma. It was made of silver and weighed approximately 0.73 grams. The coin features an image of a lion's head on one side and an inscription on the other side that reads "ΡΗΓΙΝΩΝ" (Rhegion), indicating its origin. The coin was used for everyday transactions and was also used to pay taxes and debts. It's fascinating to think that this coin was used by ancient Greeks in their daily lives and has survived to this day as a piece of history.
