Interesting fact
The Liard coin was minted during the reign of Jean-Théodore of Bavaria, who was the Prince-Bishop of Liège from 1743 to 1763. During his reign, he implemented several reforms aimed at modernizing the Prince-Bishopric of Liège, including the introduction of a new currency system. The Liard coin was part of this new system and was used widely in the region during that time.
