Comment

This type was part of the last gold issue of Edward III in France prior to the Treaty of Brétigny in 1360.
Posterior issues don't have the King of France title.

Interesting fact

The Leopard d'Or coin features an image of a leopard on one side and King Edward III on the other, signifying the king's association with the symbol of the leopard, which was a symbol of strength and bravery during the Middle Ages.
