Interesting fact
The Kopeck coin , which was issued during the reign of Vasiliy IV in the early 17th century, was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins to feature a unique design element that would become a hallmark of Russian coinage - the "double-headed eagle" motif. This symbol, which features two eagles with their heads facing each other, would become a prominent feature on many Russian coins and other national symbols, and is still used on some Russian coins today.
