Comment
A territorial militia assembled by Kuzma Minin and Prince Dmitry Mikhailovich Pozharsky minted coins in Yaroslavl in the name of Fyodor I, the last legitimate tsar of the Rurik dynasty. When in Oct 1612 the militia drove the Poles from Moscow, the coins were issued there.http://silver-copeck.ru/8007/1.html
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of great turmoil in Russia, known as the Time of Troubles. This period saw a succession crisis, foreign invasions, and civil war, yet despite these challenges, the coinage continued to be produced, albeit with some variations in design and quality. The fact that this coin was made of silver, a valuable and durable material, speaks to the resilience and resourcefulness of the Russian people during this time.
