Interesting fact
The Kopeck coin , which features Mikhail I and was minted between 1626 and 1635, was actually the first silver coin to be minted in Russia. Prior to this, Russian coins were made of copper or other base metals. The introduction of silver coins marked a significant change in Russian currency and paved the way for the use of silver in future coinage.
