Interesting fact
The Hexadrachm (Nonnos Type) coin from Boii was used as a form of currency in ancient Thrace, which is now modern-day Bulgaria, Greece, and Turkey. It was minted during the reign of King Nonnos, who ruled the kingdom of Thrace from 75 BC to 1 BC. The coin features an image of the king on one side and a mythological creature, such as a griffin or a satyr, on the other. The Hexadrachm was a significant denomination in ancient Thrace and was used for large transactions and trade.
