Interesting fact
The Hemidrachm - Anaxikles coin features a unique blend of Greek and Persian influences in its design. The obverse side of the coin depicts a bearded Persian king, possibly Anaxikles himself, wearing a Persian crown and a cloak, while the reverse side features a Greek-style owl perched on a branch, surrounded by a Greek inscription. This fusion of design elements reflects the cultural exchange and blending that occurred during the Hellenistic period, when Greek and Persian cultures came into contact with each other.
