Interesting fact
The Hemidrachm coin from Parion (Mysia) was used as a form of currency in ancient Greece and its design was inspired by the Greek goddess Athena. The obverse side of the coin features the image of Athena wearing a helmet and carrying a spear, while the reverse side depicts a griffin, which was a mythical creature that was considered sacred to Athena.
