Interesting fact
The Hemidrachm coin from Stratonikeia (Caria) was minted during the reign of Roman Emperor Augustus (27 BC - 14 AD), and it features an image of the goddess Roma on the obverse (front side) and a mythological scene on the reverse (back side). The coin was used as a means of payment and trade in the ancient Greek city of Stratonikeia, which was located in modern-day Turkey. Despite its small size, the Hemidrachm coin played an important role in the economy of the region and is now a valuable collector's item for numismatists.
