Interesting fact

The Hekte coin was used as a form of currency in ancient Ionia, which is now modern-day Turkey. The coin's design features a lion's head on one side and an inscription on the other, which reads "Ionian League" in ancient Greek. This coin was used for trade and commerce, and its value was equivalent to about 1/6 of a drachma, which was the standard unit of currency in ancient Greece. Despite being over 2,500 years old, some Hekte coins have been well-preserved and are still highly valued by collectors today.
