Interesting fact
The Hekte coin was used as a form of currency in ancient Greece and its design was inspired by the mythical creature, the Griffin. The obverse side of the coin features the head of a griffin, while the reverse side features a quadripartite incuse, which is a pattern of four squares within a square.
