Comment

According to MEC XII (discussion p.519-523 and Table 50), the later Pavia types with FE RIC N are best thought of as immobilized types struck in a mint being operated during the Commune period, and not as Imperial types.  They place the issues with ⋆ at center of the reverse as 4th period of the Commune, 1254-1298.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Frederick II, who was a powerful and influential emperor in the 13th century. He was known for his military conquests and his efforts to centralize power, which had a significant impact on the political and economic landscape of Europe during his time. The coin's design and issuance were likely influenced by his policies and ambitions.
