Several variants exist, differing in the punctuation. VdCh 9.1 (photos) has dot-saltire-dot punctuation, and rosettes on either side of shield. There are variants with trefoils on sides of the shield, triple dots as punctuation, etc.Interesting fact
The Groat coin from the Bishopric of Utrecht, minted during the reign of John of Arkel (1342-1364), features a unique design element - a small cross on the reverse side, which was added to the coin's design to indicate its value. This small cross was a distinctive feature of the Groat coin and helped to distinguish it from other coins in circulation at the time.
