Interesting fact
The obverse of the coin features the image of a mythical creature called the Griffin, which has the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. The Griffin was a symbol of protection and guardianship in ancient Greek mythology, and its presence on the coin may have been intended to protect the coin's owner from harm or to signify the coin's value and importance.
