Comment
The coin's weight has decreased over time and, due to the war situation, its value has also varied. Initially it was £6.0, and then it was £4.5, £4.0, £3.5 and £3.25.
It is not known exactly where to "fit" the Porto coin (the only known coin) because its weight is very low. The restorations that most of the coins underwent in the 20th century do not help at all.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique design element - a small shield with the coat of arms of Lisbon on the reverse side, which was added to commemorate the reign of King Ferdinand I, also known as Ferdinand the Gentle. This coin was minted during his reign, which lasted from 1369 to 1383, and it is a rare example of a coin that has been preserved in such good condition, making it a valuable piece for collectors.
