Attributed to Constantine VIII.  Sear attributes these as similar to A2 variants, but reduced weight and minted beginning around 1020.

Many variants are known with different ornaments on reverse, along with ornaments differences on obverse within nimbus and on book of Gospels.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of Jesus Christ on one side and an image of the Byzantine Emperor on the other, highlighting the blending of religious and political themes in Byzantine art.
