Florentine gold florin, undated, struck at the Luxembourg mint.

Coin of the highest rarity, a copy listed by Weiller (p.65) found in 1899 at Aumont in Switzerland and a second copy in the catalog supplement, published in 1995.

The weight of the two unique pieces is 3.42 and 3.49 g.

The obverse of the two coins are identical, the reverse side shows differences. The helmet is of a different shape and the legend also varies:

b. + S IOHA-ИИES B

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Standard circulation coin Florin - Wenceslaus I ND (1353-1383) from Duchy of Luxembourg (Luxembourg) made of Gold weighing 3.42 g is that it was minted during the reign of Wenceslaus I, who was the first Duke of Luxembourg and a member of the House of Luxembourg. He was known for his military campaigns and his efforts to strengthen the economy of the Duchy, which may have influenced the production of this coin.
