According to Stephen Album, Check List of Islamic Coins:
AE fals, many types, some with pictorial devices.
The only aspect of the reform applied to the copper coinage was
the form of the royal titulature, occasionally shortened due to lack
of space or to provide room for a pictorial image. Each mint
maintained its own local design.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of a Mongolian horse on its reverse side, which was a symbol of power and strength in Mongolian culture.
