The fourth son of to ascend the throne, al-Mansur Ala ad-Din Ali (Ali II) succeeded his brother in 1345 at the age of 17.Another brother, , succeeded him on his death in 1346.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during the reign of Al-Salih Ismail, who was the last Sultan of the Mamluk Sultanate, and it features an inscription in Arabic that reads "Al-Salih Ismail, the Just, the Victorious" on one side, and the other side features an image of a standing figure holding a sword and a shield. This coin is a rare example of Mamluk coinage and is highly sought after by collectors due to its historical significance and rarity.
