Al-Mu'ayyad Shaykh (c. 1369 – 13 January 1421) was a Mamluk sultan of Egypt from 6 November 1412 to 13 January 1421.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about this coin is that it was issued during the reign of Al-Mu'ayyad Shaykh, who was the last Sultan of the Mamluk Sultanate, which was a powerful state that ruled over much of the Middle East and North Africa during the 13th to 16th centuries. Despite being the last Sultan, Al-Mu'ayyad Shaykh's reign was marked by significant political and economic reforms, including the introduction of new coinage systems, such as this Fals coin made of copper. This coin, therefore, serves as a tangible reminder of the Mamluk Sultanate's rich history and cultural heritage.
