Interesting fact
The Dwugrosz coin featuring Jan II Kazimierz Waza (Toruń) 1651 from the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was made of silver, but it was also one of the first coins in Europe to feature a portrait of a king on one side and a coat of arms on the other. This design was a departure from the traditional religious imagery found on coins at the time and marked a shift towards more secular themes in coin design.
