Interesting fact

The Dukat koronny coin was minted during the reign of Stanisław August Poniatowski, who was the last king of Poland before the country was partitioned and disappeared from the map for over a century. The coin features an image of the king on one side and the Polish eagle on the other, and was made of gold. Despite being minted in the late 18th century, some of these coins have survived to this day and are highly prized by collectors. In fact, a rare example of the Dukat koronny coin sold for over $100,000 at an auction in 2018!
