Interesting fact
The Ducat 1676 from the City of Zurich is a rare and valuable coin, with only a few examples known to exist. One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during a time of great turmoil in Europe, with the Thirty Years War (1618-1648) having recently ended and the Great Fire of London (1666) occurring just a few years prior. Despite these challenges, the City of Zurich was able to maintain its independence and prosperity, as evidenced by the minting of this high-quality gold coin.
